450.0. "Distributing C3-CCP" by HOUBA::CAILLE () Tue Oct 25 1994 10:57

From what I've seen in the PCM DOC's, It seems that both CCC and CCP are running
on the same host.

My question is:

	Would it be possible to distribute C3 and CCP on different hosts.

Actually, my customer would like to connect, from a centralized CCC, several
CCP's distributed on different sites.

Any idea...?

  plans, no promises though.

Thanks for the quick answer.

By the way, is there any development plan available ? (^pointer?)

  No development plan yet, I am putting it, along with the spec,
  together at the moment.

  You are aware of course that your customer can use the power of
  X11 to put his C3 on remote workstations just by redirecting the
  display.

Yes, I'm aware of that. But redirecting a C3 session, in some circumstances, can
be very slow at the user interface level. Especially when using the PCM motif
UI. In addition, we can imagine having from the centralized C3 session, an easy
and fast connection mechanism to supervise many sites.
