Hello,
I'm a bit confused about the versions...
From the cover letter I read the Explanation of Version Numbering Scheme
which states:
The OpenVMS[TM] VAX[TM] version of PCM is at Version 1.5 while
version numbers on the other platforms (OpenVMS AXP[TM],
RISC ULTRIX[TM] and DEC OSF/1) are at Version 1.1. This is
because the OpenVMS VAX version replaces VAXcluster[TM]
Console System (VCS) Version 1.4, and must have a version number
that is higher than 1.4.
A customer running OpenVMS AXP with POLYCENTER Console Manager V1.1 wanted to
install the V1.5 ECO1-kit, but the kit won't install because the version
is not V1.5.
So, my question is: is there a V1.5 for OpenVMS AXP or is there another
ECO-kit?

Willem, Your customer MUST install V1.5 BEFORE the ECO kit, we had to upgrade all our versions to V1.5 because we superceded V1.4 of VCS and the systems we use internally to track products would not let us have a version 1.1 following 1.4 of VCS. V1.5 is on the latest consolidated distribution for all platforms. Cheers, Phil | |||||
