424.0. "PCM on monochrome screens" by BACHUS::WILLEMSG (Geert Willems MCS-Belgium) Thu Oct 06 1994 15:07

    	Hi,

Yesterday I went at customer site to upgrade OVMS VAX V6.1,
install PCM + ECO kit and migrate from VCS V1.4 to PCM V1.5.
All went fine until I tried the ENS stuff.
The customer has a VAXstation 3100/GPX with a monochrome screen.
The problem is that when you dipslay the multi-line window, it's
very difficult to see the messages. This is the same for the C3.
Question : What can be done about this ?
Another major problem is that I can't display the multi-line window
on a VT1200. I have simulated the problem inhouse. After
activating debug I saw a access violation in the multi-line__002.log
    	file.
Question : Is this a know problem too ? I saw a note about VT1200
and C3 display saying to look in the SPD.
And indeed their is a note for the C3 saying :
"Only Color Graphic display terminals are supported."
I guess this is the same for the ENS ?
The customer is asking an official answer for this.
Is Doreen Flynn now the product manager ?

    	Thanks in advance,

    	Rgds,

    	Geert Willems

Geert,

As ENS is a part of PCM and the statement in the SPD relates
to PCM, then yes, it means that monochrome workstations are
  not supported for ENS too.

Doreen is our Product Administrator, NOT our Product Manager.

Cheers,
Phil
