415.0. "SYSTEM-F-EXQUOTA errors on Startup - Help!" by GEC013::ZIGLER (Tom Zigler 435-7979) Fri Sep 23 1994 18:59

We are attempting to run CM V1.5 on an OpenVMS VAXcluster (dual hosted
VAX 4600 systems) servicing approximately 62 systems using TCP/IP and UCX V2.0D.

When we execute the SYS$STARTUP:CONSOLE$STARTUP command we soon get the
SYSTEM-F-EXQUOTA message in the Multi-Line window for each system before
we ever begin to launch any C3 displays.

What is the issue here? Can anyone help us resolve this problem?

Please advise.

Tom,

What transport are your systems using? Do you have
  ECO1 installed?

Cheers,
Phil

    re .1

    Phil,

We are running the TCP/IP transport and have not tried the ECO1 patch
    yet.

I'll apply the ECO1 and see if that addresses my SYSTEM-F-EXQUOTA
    problem.

Tom,

You should also look at your UCX quota values, we
had a few problems here at first with UCX until we
  increased our SMALL buffers.

BTW, ECO1 will not help here although you should
  install it anyway.

Cheers,
Phil
