Hello - Console ARCHIVE hangs when invoking on a V6.1 AXP system from character-cell and from the C3. I was unable to do any testing on a VAX at V6.1, although it does work fine on V6.0. It appears that invoking Archive from the C3 has additional problems in that the Controller daemon goes into LEF. Other operations from the C3 then hang requiring a PCM shutdown/restart. In character-cell it is possible to CTRL_C out, and the daemons remain stable. Dan B. is working on this issue. Do you think we have time to get a fix in the patch kit? We do have a number of customers on V6.1, and archiving is a real handy feature. Regards, Connie

Did the fix make it into the patch kit? I've got a customer
here with exactly the same problem, also on AXP 6.1, with the
Archive command hanging.

Tony, The fix for the problem we knew about went into the patch kit, your customer may be seeing something different, so I would suggest that they install the patch and see if it fixes the problem. Cheers, Phil | |||||
