Hi all. I'm confused on the cabling issues for PCM.. I thought it was all RS232, but then a customer sends me this question. I checked in the SPD but found nothing. Does anybody have one of these setup and can you tell me what cable you're using ? Thanks - Scott --------------------------- Hello! I realize this is probably a field-service related question, but I am unable to get the information from them so I am hoping you can verify this internally. On a PCM "console to DS700" connection where the DS700 is equipped with RJ45 ports, which would be the correct DEC "MMJ to RJ45: cable, BN24J-XX or a BN24H-XX I would really appreciate some help on this! Thanks . . .

Scott, The easiest thing to do is use H8584-AA adapters. These plug into the RJ45 ports on the DS700 and convert down to DEC423 which allows the use of cheap BC16E flat decconnect cable. Regs, Dan |
