Hi,
I have come across a problem in which the subprocess that is created
on behalf of the CONSOLE MONITOR interface goes into a COM state
and is shown to be using 90%+ of the CPU.
VAX 4000/60 MOTIF V1.2, VMS V6.1, PCM V1.5
SETUP:
Customer sets up the width to 132 columns from the options menu in the
decterm first and saves it. This may be related. Customer also
tried this by using the "SET WIDTH 132" command from the MONITOR
interface COMMAND prompt. In both cases the hang problem occurs.
From the C3 customer double clicks on the node and gets the monitor
interface than connects to the system. At this point he does a CTRL/G and
then enters a SELECT node-name at the COMMAND prompt, then another
CTRL/G.
The window goes blank and we see that the subprocess is in a COM state
taking 90%+ CPU.
Any ideas on this is greatly appreciated.

Nancy, I have no ideas about this, I have added it to our "bug" list and will take a look at it as time permits. Thanks for letting us know about it. Cheers, Phil | |||||
