    Hi!
One of my customers has to go to Polycenter DECPCM (from VCS) becouse
of the VMS Upgrade to VMS6.0.

It seems to work much like VCS but he has found a "little" problem, that
    prevents him from the transition.

The SHIFT LEFT / SHIFT RIGHT Functions are not implementet.
SO the customer sees the first 80 characters of the console lines only.
He told me that switching to 132 characters doesn't work either becouse
you get a 132 char display, but the line still ends with character 80.

Further he would like more options then 80/132 to chouse an amount that
    allows the bigger fonts.

Is this a user problem, a bug, or not implemented ?

    thanks
    Michael

Michael,

We have not implemented this feature in PCM, if
your customer sees this as a requirement for PCM,
please have them submit a Phase 0 request to our
  Product Manager.

Cheers,
Phil

    Hi Phil!

HAven't you implemented shift left/right or didn't you implement a way
to show the full message length ?

Whats a Phase 0 request (SPR?)
Who is the product manager ?

    								thanks
    								Michael

Michael,

We did not implement SHIFT/LEFT or SHIFT/RIGHT.

If you set your screen width to 132 characters, then
start up the monitor interface. It should work ok
when you "SET WIDTH 132" but apparently our curses
code isnt quite right, this is a bug and is now on
 our list.

A Phase 0 request is when you officially ask our
product manager for a new feature to be implemented
in the next product release, it is usually backed
up with a business case. An SPR is a Software
Performance Report, submitted via the CSC by the
customer concerning a bug or a request for a new
 feature.

Our product manager is Rae Kung (MUZICH::KUNG)

Cheers,
phil
