329.0. "Restarting console eventlist" by SUPER7::HUGHESA (Swimming against the tide @#%*) Wed Aug 03 1994 11:46

There is a problem with PCM v1.5 and attempting to restart the
eventlist from the "file" pull down menu.

If you specify the qualifiers (or at least one) it restarts ok,
otherwise if you simply use the command CONSOLE EVENTLIST it
	fails to restart with the error;

%DCL-W-NULFIL, missing or invalid file specification - respecify

I undertook the following tests, by firing up an eventlist and then
restarting it using the pull down menu.

Andy.

SUPER7>console eventlist/node=super7/screen=0/server=0/transport=decnet
SUPER7>console eventlist/screen=0/server=0/transport=decnet
SUPER7>console eventlist/screen=0/transport=decnet
SUPER7>console eventlist/transport=decnet
SUPER7>console eventlist/node=super7
SUPER7>console eventlist
%DCL-W-NULFIL, missing or invalid file specification - respecify

Andy,

We know about this and I have a fix in the works.

  Thanks for reporting it anyway.

Cheers,
Phil

    Hi

I have found a similar problem to 0 and, excuse my ignorance but is
the new version available yet and will it fix the following ?

The problem I have seen is this :

Logged into the PCM system using TCPIP and set my display back to
my workstation, using the workstations IP address, (not the
    	nodename).

    	Console C3 works fine .
    	Console edit works fine.

If I have "Display eventlist window at startup" set on the C3
    	display I get

    	%DCL-W-PARMDEL, invalid parameter delimiter

and the eventlist does not display.

Back on the PCM system from DCL.

    	Console eventlist works fine.

    	Console eventlist/node=ip_address/transport=tcpip

    	gives %DCL-W-PARMDEL, invalid parameter delimiter

If I use the nodename it works fine.

I'm not 100% sure using the address is supported. I'm using it
because I have a set of commands in SYLOGIN.COM to setup the
display on login and using the address is the easiest solution.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Regards

    Alan

Alan,

The problem described in .0 is indeed fixed in the MUP
kit we are trying to finish.

You have a different problem and looking at the code, I
see why, I will see if I can fix this for the MUP kit,
  no promises though.

Cheers,
Phil

Alan,

Your prayers will be answered, the fix is in, well, it works for me
anyway, but then again this stuff always works for me ;-).
