328.0. "Is frame relay a problem?" by OHFS02::COMFORT () Tue Aug 02 1994 21:36

    Our customer is using frame relay as part of his WAN and wants to know
    if there is any problem using PCM (telnet or LAT) in this environment.
    My guess is that this is not a problem (at least for telnet). Does
    anyone have any experience using PCM with frame relay connections.

Bob,
    I very much doubt that it would cause a problem. We do not require any
special timings over the connection ( over and above those needed by either
TELNET or LAT) which would cause problems. If the customer can open reliable
TELNET or LAT connections so will PCM.

The only timimg we do on the connection is the TELNET reconnect check and this
timer is in the order of several seconds to get a response, so no real problem
there.

Cheers Simon...
