Hi,
OpenVms V6.0, PCM V1.1
Is there a know problem with the BREAK send via the MONITOR ?
I have the following configuration :
PCM system : VAXstation 4000-60
Monitored system : VAX 6000-510(node name BRSSWS)
1)From the Monitor interface I did :
Command: break brssws
Do you want to transmit a break? [Y/N]

this is the place of the cursor
And if I type Y I get again the Command: prompt
2)From the Connect interface I did :
CTRL/P
?0002 External halt (CTRL/P, break, or external halt)

Geert, The cursor positioning is a problem, we will have a look at it. Are you saying that sending break did not work? If so, I am not surprised as your point 2 suggests that a Control-P will halt this system, BREAK IS NOT THE SAME AS CONTROL-P. BREAK sends a break signal down the wire, Control-P sends the ascii code for Control-P. Cheers, Phil | |||||
