246.0. "silly question on system name" by MUNDIS::MBACHMANN (MAIK BACHMANN @MFR) Tue Apr 19 1994 18:53

Hi there,

a very easy to answer question.

In the user guide there you see a pretty nice icon AND the systems
name above. I haven't got this - played around with combinations
of icon and name in modify system menu but .... ???

Please give me a hint on:

  - how to do in C3
  - how to do in cm -E
  - and what to write into cm_config.PORT ( prefer this )

Thanks a lot

Maik,
there is an option in the C# to display all labels or not.

Pull down "Options" Menu and choose "All Labels" item.

This will turn on all the icon labels.

You may then customise the lavel postion using the modify option in the Edit
Pop Up for the system ( when in Edit Mode). In fact you can then choose to turn
off some labels as well.

The Lavel is just the name extracted from the database. In the case of the
systems it cannot be altered, but if you add peripherals you may change the
names on the C3.

Hope that answers question.

Cheers Simon....
