242.0. "Temp License expiring, need clarification on user license" by CSC32::J_WIELAND () Fri Apr 15 1994 14:42
Dear readers,
I have a customer that has a temp license on Polycenter Console Manager V1.0
for ultrix and he is now trying to load his 'purchased' 'user' licenses.
When he runs the IVP, (ie: setld -v), it fails...
If he does a lmf list (note: the 5th license is the temp one... and he has
only three remote systems configured at this time)
lmf> list

242.1 | Wrong PAKS!!!!!!!! | OPG::SIMON | | Fri Apr 15 1994 16:42 | 14 |
| He has the wrong PAKS.
During the early field tests we had two PAK names for the product.
The Unlimited use PAK was POLY-CONSOLEMGR and the limited ( i.e. not 0
unit PAKS ) were POLY-CONSOLEMGR-USER.
This conflicted with normal practice so we were told to use POLY-CONSOLEMGR
for all PAKS and the unit numbers defined the numbers of connections.
So the long and the short of it is that those PAKS wont work!!!!
Chhers Simon....
