230.0. "PCM on OSF/1 V2.0 (Rev 250) : no news ?" by 54831::SYBERTZ (Marc Sybertz@BRO - 856/7572) Fri Apr 01 1994 13:15

Hi,

I've upgraded my machine to OSF/1 V2.0. I wonder when I will be able to reuse
Console Manager on it ?

Marc.

    Marc,

       The current kit works on OSF/1. It was just released yesterday.

    Cheers,

Marc,

  As Dave says, the current kits works, well, it does for us, maybe for you
  things will be different ;-) But I am sure you will let us know.

Cheers,
Phil

230.4Use OSF V1.3 or V2.0 with PCM V1.1?54697::hanQuestions raise the doubtTue Apr 26 1994 22:235
Any progress on this? (DEC OSF/1 V2.0 with PCM V1.1)

If this is supposed to work like .1 seems to suggest then is there any
technical reason why the SSB kit announcement (note 2.19) still
explicitly states that DEC OSF/1 V1.3 is required?

Hi,
   sorry I guess my wording in the kit announcement was wrong. We require at
least OSF/1 V1.3.

We have done testing against OSF/1 V2.0 and things appear OK.

"I fixed an install problem with subset dependancy checking in an earlier FT
so no probs there.

Use V2.0 and we will support it!!

Cheers Simon...
