| PCM will run on Alpha, both OpenVMS and OSF/1. If you're customer
already has VCS, PCM will honor VCS licenses, thus no cost to your
customer. If they want to run on OpenVMS/VAX, then they will have to
upgrade to OpenVMS 6.0

Do you mean the VAXcluster would have to upgraded to OpenVMS 6.0 so
they could run PCM on the Alpha?

No, we dont care what operating system or version the managed systems are
running.
Dave meant that the system running Console Manager, if it were a VAX, would
have to be running at least V6.0 of OpenVMS. If Console Manager were running
on an AXP system, the minimum version would be V1.5 of OpenVMS or V1.3 OSF/1

| By the way, I also understand that the VCS licenses are only honored if
you stay on the VAX platform. If you move to ALPHA you will have to buy
new licenses.

Well yes and no!! If you take advantage of the offers Digital currently has
for upgrading to AXP systems, apparently, your VCS licence will get changed
to a PCM one at no extra cost (Something to do with the Mammoth upgrade or
something!!)
