An Ultrix 4.3 patch /sys/MIPS/BINARY/sys_generic.o is required to run Console Manager correctly. It fixes a memory leak in the filesystem code when using greater than 64 opebn fiel descriptors. The patch does not show up in the latest patch saveset for 4.3a (27 jan 94). Does the original image in 4.3a already fix the problem? Thanks and regards, Denis

Denis, yes V4.3a of ULTRIX contains the fix in the base system build. this is one reason why we are stipulating V4.3a as minimum for PCM version 1.1. It gets away from the need to install this patch. Cheers Simon.... |
