In the SPD for POLYCENTER Console Manager V1.0, it lists the terminal servers that can be used to provide connections to the managed elements (via LAT or Telnet). It doesn't mention the DECserver 90M. Is there any reason that that server can't be used as a gate to the devices serviced by PCM? Thanks, Gary PS: the DECserver 90M does support Telnet.

It will work. Not quite sure why it was left out of the SPD. Dave | |||||

It's not in the SPD for V1.0 because it didn't exist at the time the V1.0 SPD was written. It's as simple as that. It does work we havwe systems here running from DECserver 90Ms using TELNET. Cheers simon... |
