| On further investigation the problem is that on connecting to the console on the
VAX the Username is prompted for, if you then type the Username the Password is
prompted for and before you get chance to enter it CM "sends" a return.
If you shut console manager down and set the port up from another VMS machine
and do a SET HOST /DTE to the LTA device you can login normally. If you then
disconnect but not logout, you can the start CM up and use Connect without any
problems... until you logout.
Hope this helps.
Is any one else using CM on OSF/1 and connecting to a VAX 3800 through a
DECserver90TL?

| This is peculiar..
If you are logged in as per .1 and then set host to another system the problem
manifests itself again.
Any thoghts anyone?

sorry for not keeping in touch over this one. It's a real strange
problem and I cannot reproduce it on the systems we have for testing.
However, if I could have access to your system sometime I could have a
look and see if I can understand what is going on. I am not in the
office today (3rd March) , but give me a ring and we can look in to
this.
