Hi, Can you give us some more info... What type of consoles are they, (block mode, character cell)? How do the console devices communicate with the host system (RS232, COAX)? Are the systems on the same LAN, or are they spread accross a WAN? If the systems are on a WAN, what is the Network protocol (DECnet, TCP)? Cheers, Phil | |||||

The UNISYS and IBM are connect using DCP (a UNISYS COMM. FEP) able to connect standard SYNC UNISYS Connection, SNA BSC, SNA HDLC, X.25. NO LAN connection is available. UNISYS Console is a BLOCK mode terminale connected in SYNC mode. I am investicating about the possibility to use X.25 TCP/IP. The IBM Console is the STANDARD Channel Attached IBM Console. Thank you again and Ciao. Filippo |
