My customer would control from the PCM system remote systems (VMS, UNIX, ...) via a WAN TCPIP. Is it possible for PCM (VMS) ? If yes, does it mean that IODL process (or equivalent) can do READIO based on TCPIP instead on $QIO on LAT ? If no, what is the better solution ? Thanks for your help. Jef

Jef, PCM on VMS does support use of TCPIP as a transport to a terminal server in the same way as we support LAT. We use the TELNET listener funcionality in the DS90 and DS700 series to acheive this. On VMS we require TCPIP services for VMS to give us the IP transport. Cheers SImon.... |
