| Hi Eric,
I think the answer is no. But Phil or Simon can have additional idea.

141.2 | Not directly But.... | OPG::SIMON | | Mon Dec 06 1993 15:17 | 10 |
| Eric,
not as such asd the connect session is based to a single syustem
not a list.
However it is possible to write a dialog script which could be sent to
multiple machines from a monitor session. You could run the setld on a
single system and get a script of the questions and answers then
"massage" that into the dialog format. this could then be useed on
different systems.
cheers Simon....

| hi
I would like to suggest that you add this capability...some method
for me to direct what I type to multiple consoles simulateanously.
The dialog is not a suitable workaround for what we are looking for.
BTW: Sun offers this in their "cluster" manager for their "Sparc
clusters"....
regards
Eric
PS: Should this be easy to do?

141.4 | Phase 0 | OPG::SIMON | | Tue Dec 07 1993 13:54 | 7 |
| Eric,
we are hoping to open the Phase 0 for the next version soon and
this should be submitted as a request. You sit in TAY ( I think ) so
you are close to the US part of the group. Ann Dinneen is the product
manager so "touch Base" with her on this one.
Cheers Simon....

| Simon,
Are you sure this isn't available. The possibility is available in VCS, via the
monitor interface, to send a text string to many consoles. Is this one of the
things not in CM V1.1 that was in VCS V1.4?

| Martin,
What you are thinking of is the OUTPUT command. Indeed it will send
a string to as many nodes as you wish but you must enter one OUTPUT
string for each string you wish to send. Note CM also has an OUTPUT
command.
