Yes, they may be run at the same time on one system or different
systems in a cluster, you can even run CM on more than one cluster
  member at the same time.

Cheers,
Phil

Hmmmm........will they both work with one copy of the VCS licence?
While we go from one to the other?

Max,

Nope, normal licensing rules apply, we have no real control
over this, all we do is request licence units and use what
  OpenVMS gives us.

Cheers,
Phil

I have just installed PCM V1.5 and both VCS and PCM seem to be working
with only the VCS licence installed. So perhaps it is possible, as long
as you do not go over the user quantity limit.

Max,

As I said, if we request a licence and VMS gives us it, then
we can work, the only time we wont get what we need is when
all the units are used up, so, yes, you can use both products
at the same time. A bit of advice though, if you are using
both VCS and PCM where you have licences for both products
installed, start VCS first as PCM will grab your VCS licenmces
if it runs out of its own!!

Finally, if it all breaks, dont come running to me, as its is
not a configuration I have time to spend supporting.

Cheers,
Phil

Thanks Phil. I will bear all that in mind. Hopefully, this should just
be a temporary situation, until we get the licence issue sorted out
    here at British Gas E&P.

For the record I have been running VCS and PCM on the same platform
since the first FT of PCM 1.1 without any problems.
