Has anyone out there connected to an IBM system running MVS? If the target system utilizes a 3270 VT device as a console, will CM v1.1 be able to manage such a console? There are a variety of operating systems out there using consoles with different keyboards than ours; does CM provide emulators for those keyboards (i.e. the 3270 problem)? My customer is looking seriously at a Boole & Babbage application that is a lot like CM and the new NetView combined. It runs on SUN and can manage quite a few different kinds of consoles, directly via terminal lines or terminal server ports, and via the network as well. How does CM v1.1 compare? Ron

I am interested if anyon has got experience in this. I am looking into a customer case where I am opting to connect a Protocol converter to a 3X74 port to convert EBCDIC to ASCII SYNC to ASYNC RS-232 to then connect the protocol converter to CM. Has anyone some kind of experience in this field? Inge Frisk | |||||

not for a VM machine, but for an AS/400. There are examples of that in the conference. Martin |
