Hi,
What will be the migration plan for current OpenVMS VAX VCS customers
to ConsoleManager.
Cheers

Well.... I am told by POLYCENTER Marketing that for those customers who currently have a maintenance contract for VCS the upgrade to POLYCENTER Console Manager V1.1 with be free, gratis, for nothing. Now if your customer doesnt have a maintenance contract, I suggest that they get one. As far as the actual software migration, well, we will be providing a routine that the customer will need to execute which will read both the VCS and VCS/ENS databases and produce a text file suitable for "importing" into the Console Manager editor. This import file will need some manual "massaging" to ensure that log directories are correct etc. Cheers, Phil | |||||
