32.0. "Monitor notes" by VINO::DBIGELOW (Innovate, Integrate, Evaporate) Mon Oct 12 1992 22:56

1. When I do a connect from the command line, and then issue a control G,
I get put in the monitor window. I believe that this will be inconsistant
behavior for VCS users. If you migrate to VMS, you will either have to
support 2 modes of operations or confuse the heck out of our users.
Why not have Control G (bell) bring you back to where you started from.
If you want an option to return to the monitor window, then perhaps
control M is a little more intuitative. Control E is the ansi statndard
for End Of Line. Control M is just Carriage Return and so, would fit nicely.

2. After making a connection and hitting a Control G and getting to the monitor
window, I start typing the word exit. I get a segment fault.

3. When starting the monitor, it always splits the window in two. Is there any
rationale for this? Why not one. If I read the documentation correctly, then
the only time two windows should appear is when I specify 2 systems on the
   command line.

4. Does not handle resizing of the terminal window correctly. Hangs up my
terminal. I must issue a control Z and kill the process manually.
I believe it also hangs the rest of CM. When I attempt to connect back
top a system, it again wants to grap my terminal and not let go.
Several variations of Control g, control c control e seems to get control
back along with a normal functioning monitor utility. However, I still
had problems connecting from the C3. As a result, I had to shutdown CM
   and restart.

5. The 'one' and 'two' window options sometimes don't work even if exiting
and re-entering the monitor. If I state 'two', then both windows have the
same system name in bolded seperator line. The 'one' option has no affect.

6. Control characters continue to be displayed and not removeable (at least
   not entirely).

7. I once got 2 bolded lines for the top window, both having the same title.
Here's a sample (without the bolding)
