Ladies and Gents, There is a bug in ULTRIX which will cause CM to hang your system after 12+ hours!!!! We make use of the V4.2 feature of greater than 64 files open per process (see release notes). It happens that we have found an obscure bug in the fielsystem code. A temorary work round in cm is to reduce the number of lines managed per Daemon. To do this use the set hideen in the character cell editor (cm -E ). Reduce this to 8 per process. This is only a temporary fix as the increasee number of Daemons needed will cause performance problems on large configurations. We are working with engineering on a patch for this. Cheers Simon.....
