GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT & WARNING.
From time to time, new images will appear in the OPG::CM$KIT: directory,
these images are test images with bug fixes for specific customer or
internally reported problems, you are free to pick up these images and
use them, but, until they are officially released in a Patch kit, they
are UNOFFICIAL and as such should NOT be given away to customers unless
it is to fix a specific problem.
A small indication of the way we are releasing images...
Any image which shows an ODD numbered minor version (i.e. -003) is an
unreleased development patch obtained from the engineering team.
Conversely any image with an even numbered minor version (i.e. -004) is
an officially released and support image which obtained from a patch kit.
Cheers,
Phil

| Folks,
All,
The time has come for Simon and I to depart.
Today is our last day at Digital and we would both like
take this last opportunity to thank you all for the support
you have given us throughout the years we have worked on
this product.
We have always tried to give the kind of support we would
expect if we were in your position we hope we met this goal
for most if not all of you.
Now for the lifetime achievement awards...
I would like to give an extra special thanks to Dan Butterworth,
without whom a lot of those nasty little bugs wouldnt have been
fixed, I hope he is allowed to continue his excellent support
with the new support team. And Dan, I know I still owe you some
beers, one day we will get to drink them I promise.
To the rest of the "team" which has constantly changed over the
years a big thank you, It has been a pleasure working with you
although frustrating at times as we battled our way through all
the "engineering processes". Yes, Dave, Rae, Doreen I mean you
guys and gals.
As for you guys in the field, well, what can I say, thanks for
being patient with us and helping improve the products quality.
To the guys in Israel taking over support, well, what can I say,
Good Luck and take good care of it.
Finally, as I let go of "My baby" I feel a little sadness that
I couldnt fully equip it with all it needs in that big bad world.
For those of you expecting Failover and all the other features
we talked about either in this conference or by mail all I can
offer is my apologies and deep regret that we were not given the
opportunity to implement them for you. Perhaps this will be done
by whoever follows us doing development work.
Cheers,
Phil & Simon.
