Krishna,
You should have been informed by a member of the Steel team that when you
first tried to submit and the pools were closed as per the announced
baselevel schedule. We "lock" the pools by removing access entries, and
so this was the expected error:
>> FATAL ERROR in bsubmit:
>> You are prevented from submitting to: /usr/sde/osf1/build/steelos.
>> No entry in submit or sadmin access lists.
As for your current submit which is in the middle, I have copied your
letter, below, to odehelp, and provided what I hope helps you complete the
submit. In the future, please question related to using the ode tools
(bco/bci/bsubmit) to [email protected], and question related to build to
[email protected]; thank you.
I have analyzed the blog output of the underlying rcs files for your
submit which are now "on hold" as shown by the bsubmit.hold file:
: Krishna_Babu_Bangera; Date: 12/24/96; Time: 10:57
./usr/ccs/bin/cfe/errors.list
./usr/ccs/bin/cfe/expr_sem.c
./usr/ccs/bin/cfe/symtab.c
All of these files have completed the "check-in" phase (all the bci'd
changes have been copied onto the STEELOS submit branches), however the
submit has not completed the "check-out" phase of putting the files in the
steelos pool.
I don't see what went wrong except for "bad network" problems. This error
in particular I have been told by the ODE team is not a cause for any
concern; it is just a warning (though it doesn't read that way):
ODE CLIENT ERROR: Failed call to: read() while reading server status.
Read more or less bytes than expected. 0 bytes.
I do not recognize the other errors; I'm hoping the submit is able to
continue, as follows:
Make sure the files are all in your sandbox (if any are not, restore them
with a "bco -u file" command), and issue the resubmit command, using the
bsubmit.hold data:
bsubmit -resub 10:57 -date 12/24/96 -defect steelos-1231-krishna
The key is to make sure the files are really present in your sandbox, and,
if they're not, restore them each with the bco -u file. ODE isn't always
able to save the sandbox in a state you can continue from after certain
failures. This is the source of the "stat error":
>> FATAL ERROR in bsubmit:
>> stat ./usr/ccs/bin/cfe/expr_sem.c
Hope you are able to complete the submit, and also I hope we do not find
this type of error to be common with the current configuration.

Hi Josh.
Today morning i tried to bsubmit same three files, after yesterday's
error messege-
>> FATAL ERROR in bsubmit:
>> You are prevented from submitting to: /usr/sde/osf1/build/steelos.
>> No entry in submit or sadmin access lists.
Today, it went thru some extent but failed once again with following
screen output.
