Hi,

PTA is winding down, and PTB is up and running.

Likewise, PTAQA will be winding down with a target closure date of
06sep1996 (Alex's mail earlier today, attached).

It is time to set up PTBQA to accept new test development work in QMG.

Here is the backing structure I think will be appropriate:

	PTBQA (open)    backed to   PTAQA (closingsoon)   backed to    PTQA (closed)
	STEELQA (open)  backed to   PTAQA (closingsoon)   backed to    PTQA (closed)

How soon can PTBQA be set up?  It will be a gating item on shutting
down PTAQA.

At some future date (prob. end September), STEELQA will be retargeted
to be backed to PTBQA, with the resulting backing structure:

STEELQA (open)  backedto  PTBQA (open)  backedto  PTAQA (closed)  backed to  PTQA (closed)

I've added a link to the README, created by  Al Carito, for the qa ode pools to
the (qmg_te|tests) web page. 

NOTE:	There is still no dri for the ptaqa pool. 

NOTE:	The ptaqa pool is tentatively scheduled to be closed Friday 6, Sept.
	at 1400 EDT.  Any tests that should be associated with the pta ssb release
	should be in the pool by then.  Aaron Sawyer (the dri for steelqa) has
	offered to do the closing of ptaqa and help Keith Stave arrange to open 
	ptbqa prior to closing ptaqa.
