I don't see any sign of any problem from what you described. You do
need to be in group staff to access sources, and you are in group staff
in the NIS database. This is all unrelated to Kerberos, which is an
independent account system. Everything seems to be working as
expected. You should just run NIS on your workstation - set it up
according to netinfo's output; contact admin if you need help with
this.

I can't access any of the kernel sources on wasted
from my workstation - I suspect its because I'm not
in group "staff" in the NIS database, but I'll ask
anyway. I can access the sources from wasted, and
my groups listed are "staff sec cmw". My groups
listed on my local workstation are "users, system sec cmw".
SO I disabled, yp & bind - added myself to staff
on the local workstation, and I have no problem
getting access. Eventually I will need to fix this
to use my kerberos account - so If you know what
I'm dong wrong, I'd appreciate it. If you suspect
its an admin problem then please copy debbie smith.
thx - Mark
