Arvind, you will need to find out from the installation group (cc'd)
about the details required for creating a new .mrg file.

Hello,
I want to submit a merge file "./etc/.mrg..group", but right now there isn't
any such file in ./etc, so I am unable to bco/bci it.
Can somebody please tell me how to proceed ( How to add a new file )?
Thanks in advance,
Arvind.

Arvind,
To create a new file, you need to use the "bcreate" command. In addition,
.mrg files are shell scripts, so you'll need to have bcreate add the correct
comment leader and header. To create this .mrg file, you work do a workon
to your steelos sandbox and then:
cd etc
bcreate -c"# " .mrg..group
and then put the appropriate header into the file.
[you can grab the sh header from /usr/sde/osf1/headers/header.sh]
As for the potential contents of a .mrg file, I would contact Steve
Grandinetti [[email protected]]
