Subj: Re: inventory err msgs during srequest in ase12asupportos
Hello again.
Please disregard my previous mail about an inventory error message
(see below). I found out what I was doing wrong. Sorry to bother you
with it.
However, now when I answer "y" to the question "Send this form?"
at the end of my srequest (in a pool backed by ase12asupportos),
I get the error:
ERROR: This operation is disabled for this stream.
Did I miss some mail about the pool not being open?
Thanks,
Charlie

Hi.
I tried checking the odehelp web page for this in the faq, but
am having trouble reaching that page, so thought I'd ask in mail.
Here's my problem:
I'm doing an srequest to ase12asupportos, and am getting some
errors complaining about the inventory. Here are the errors
I get:
WARNING: The following inventory errors were detected in your submit
request form:
New subset 'ASEBASE125' for file './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am.o'
New subset 'ASEBASE125' for file './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am_scs
i.o'
New subset 'ASEBASE125' for file './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am_tmv
1.o'
New subset 'ASEBASE125' for file './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am_tmv
2.o'
No existing inventory file found for './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am

No existing inventory file found for './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am
_scsi.o'
No existing inventory file found for './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am
_tmv1.o'
No existing inventory file found for './usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am
_tmv2.o'
This is confusing to me, since I did a grep for these files in
/usr/sde/osf1/build/ase12asupportos/src/isl/data/ASE.mi, and found them.
See below:
tachet.zk3.dec.com> cd /usr/sde/osf1/build/ase12asupportos/src/isl/data
tachet.zk3.dec.com> ls -lL ASE.mi
- - -r--r--r-- 1 devbld staff 5282 Jul 11 1995 ASE.mi
tachet.zk3.dec.com> grep am.o ASE.mi
0 ./opt/ASE125/sbin/aseamconfig ASEBASE125
0 ./usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am.o ASEBASE125
tachet.zk3.dec.com> grep am_scsi.o ASE.mi
0 ./usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am_scsi.o ASEBASE125
tachet.zk3.dec.com> grep am_tmv1.o ASE.mi
0 ./usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am_tmv1.o ASEBASE125
tachet.zk3.dec.com> grep am_tmv2.o ASE.mi
0 ./usr/opt/ASE125/sys/kits/ASE125/ASE_AM/am_tmv2.o ASEBASE125
Any idea why I get the error messages, even though the files are
indeed in the ASE.mi file for ase12asupportos?
Thanks for any help with this,
Charlie
