Subj: build rule weirdness...how does this happen?
Howdy...
I made a sandbox backed to ptliteos, and have been doing builds against
that pool. Something very strange just happened, and I do not know how
to fix it. Any help you can provide will be most appreciated.
It was necessary to modify one of the makefiles to correct a build problem.
When I did a "build" after modifying the Makefile, it appears that the
Makefile changes are being completely and totally ignored. Putting blatantly
wrong and illegal things in the Makefile has no effect.
I have another sandbox backed to steel. Making identical changes to the Makefile
in that sandbox has the desired effect - that is, the Makefile is processed and
the changes I made occur.
How can it be that the local Makefile in a sandbox is being ignored? How do I
make ODE read the Makefile?
I'm confused about this as I've never seen this happen in 4+ years of being
afflicted with ODE :-).
Please help! :-)
Chris
