ok - i'll go over to Blaise's office to see what I can fine. I see
one clue in the mail - "link1" is mentioned - which is a sign of a
multiply-backed sandbox, which is a tricky thing - there could just
be missing mounts from this link"1"...

This mail's for the "odehelp record".
This has been fixed. The DFS pool has not yet upgraded their environment
to use ode3.0; perhaps this is the reason for the problem, but when we
disabled the multiply-backed feature (Blaise renamed rc_files/projects
aside to old_projects) the problem disappeared.
