Subj: Re: Problem with Markrcs in QAQC pool.
When you defunct them, it marks RCS and removes them from the pool. If you
want to reverse that, you have to put them back in the pool. Putting an entry
in the SNAPSHOT says that they exist in the pool, but you didn't take that
step.
Rather than making SNAPSHOT entries, you should checkout the files and then
submit them to get them in the pool AND the SNAPSHOT.

| I recently un-defuncted some files in the QAQC pool. I did the following
| steps.
| 1) ran "rcs -sExp:<revision number> files
| 2) From private sandbox ran " sadim -edit defunct" and removed the files
| from the DEFUNCT file.
| 3) Ran "sadim -edit snap" and added the files to the SNAPSHOT file.
|
| The problem that is occurring when I run markrcs is that I get the
| following error.
|
| sh: ./cde/comp_suites/dthelp/shared/TestVolumes/Vol1/C/DC12.xwd,v: cannot exe
cute
| sh: ./cde/comp_suites/dthelp/shared/TestVolumes/Vol1/C/manyclrsDC.xwd,v: cann
ot execute
| sh: ./cde/comp_suites/dthelp/shared/TestVolumes/Vol1/C/xybitmap.xwd,v: cannot
execute
|
| I have checked the following.
|
| - The files in the rcs directory are no longer defuncted.
|
| - The SNAPSHOT file in the submit tree and backing tree have entries for
| the files.
|
| - The backing tree has copies of the files.
|
| - The submit tree doesn't have a copy of the files.
|
|
| Any suggestions would be appreciated.
