Martin,

If you want, I could log onto your machine jasper as devbld and
see if anything looks unusual. I have not used the prefix= although
that should not cause the failure.

If you want
to add tander.zso.dec.com and slugbt.zso.dec.com to your sup hosts, I could try to sup it.
Sometimes supping using the -NNN flag helps give more information as well.

-N Traces network messages sent and received that implement the sup pro-
gram network protocol. Multiple -N options (up to 3) increase the
       detail of the messages.

Tina

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, my most critical issue was later in
my mail message and you did not comment on that. Ken needs a copy of our
current shipping ffb bits so that certain bug fixes can be rolled back into
hw4x pre-bl4

I can not get sup to work with our current build areas.

I have added tander.zso.dec.com and slugbt.zso.dec.com to host.

I have tried using -N -NN -NNN All that I see is a lot of SCM writing #.

It isn't very useful.

For this sup:
  1) the host file was used from a previously working sup
  2) the list file was used from a previously working sup
  3) the prefix=path was used in a previously working sup

The only things that can be different are:
  1) The name of the sup pool
  2) The contents of /usr/sde/lib/supfiles/coll.dir
  3) The contents of the supfile used when invoking sup
  4) The build tree being sup'ed.

Are there any protection issues with using sup? Particularly if the
paths to be sup'ed are nfs mounted on the machine the server runs on?

I HAVE CHANGED THE PASSWORD of devbld on jasper.eng.pko.dec.com to

		123456789a

go ahead an login. in ~/sup is the supfile current_open3d_ffb_pool

Let me know when you are done, because I need to set devbld password back.

thanks
  Martin
