When I added LDFLAGS = -pg to my vdump build
(sbin/backup/vdump)
I got an error that -pg must precede -B
(now -B is not in my Makefile, so it's the environment that's
setting it)
I manually redid the link and inserted the -pg in front of the -B
and it built fine.

(unfortunately, the program didn't produce profiling output, but
that's someone else's problem)
