Subj: bco gives me old version of stropts.h?? - attention requested soon
Dear buildhelp,
this is really strange:
I am backed to: /usr/sde/disks/odie_ra131c/ptos.nightly
I just bco'd the file : [ ./kernel/sys/stropts.h ] for my submit.
It does *not* give me this revision:4.2.18.2
=======================
- - * Revision 4.2.18.2 1994/11/02 22:34:57 Ronald_Menner
- - * Added I_TILDE ioctl
- - * [1994/11/02 15:01:24 Ronald_Menner]
=======================
Instead, it gives me this old revision: 4.2.16.2
And then "srequest" shows the changes submitted in 4.2.18.2
(thanks srequest, at least you are catching it!)
Can you please help? Am I missing something here?
thanks,
Sunil......11:01 pm 12/12/94
(p.s. Just to check again, I just did bcs -o stropts.h to outdate it,
and bco again.....but it gives the same problem).

Include the output in this form.
How did you test this change?
Spec1170 and VSX4 test suite was run to insure that no errors
result from this change. Also libc.a, libc.so, GENERIC kernel,
and usr/bin, usr/sbin commands were built.
If a kernel change, which kernels have you built and booted:
(it is expected you build and boot at least GENERIC and
one other kernel. If appropriate you are encouraged to
test on both Uniprocessor and multiprocessor platforms.
Be sensitive to changes that affect the SAS kernel)
Kernels:
GENERIC?
AVANTI?
COBRA?
FLAMINGO?
JENSEN?
PELICAN?
RUBY?
SABLE?
SAS? (up to where it can't find the root file system)
Others?
o Are these modules lint clean? - Lint is being run on the kernel source,
and the error logs are being monitored for regressions. Please be
certain that the submission of this code does not introduce new lint errors.
See the file /usr/specs/release-sw/process-baselines/fsrt_guidelines.ps
for instructions. Logs are in: /usr/sde/osf1/build/ptos/Logs/lint.
Yes- logs are located in: flume.zk3:/home/srb/buildlogs
o Standards Compliance - You must refer to the Standards Guidelines in the FSRT
General Guidelines to determine if your submit impacts any Standards. Bear in
mind that Standards regressions are SHOW-STOPPERS.
(a) Does your submit affect any Standards? YES [ X] NO [ ]
(b) If YES which one(s)? ANSI/C [ ] POSIX.1 [ ] AES V1.0 [ ]
XPG3/4 [ X] SVID2 [ ] SVID3 [ ]
Spec1170 [ X]
(c) Did you run the appropriate testsuite for (b)? YES [ X] NO [ ]
Include testsuite output(s) or rationale if NO:
Ran the Spec1170 test suite:
- -----------------------------------
The test suite output is not yet appropriate for reference since its
not released to QC.
Ran the VSX4 test suite:
- -----------------------------------
Results are located in: flume.zk3:/home/srb/TSresults/testreport.0001
o Does this submit result in a new file that needs to show up in the kit or
build output area? Does it remove (defunct) a file from the output area?
For new inventory changes please consult with Sean Davidson to confirm
subset name. Please grep the the following files to find the pathname for
the defuncting files.
Base System: /usr/sde/osf1/build/ptos/src/isl/data/OSF400.mi
Workstation: /usr/sde/osf1/build/ptos/src/isl/data/OSFX400.mi
List inventory changes that will impact the output area and their associated
subsets.
NEW inventory files:
DEFUNCT inventory files:
No new files in this submit.
o List of files to be submitted (full pathnames from the src directory
in the ODE tree, ODE revision number, and ODE set name, i.e. sue_ag),
use bstat -all for the list of files and the revs:
[ ./kernel/sys/stropts.h ]
version 4.2.19.2 selected
o Code Diffs: include pointer to file, use the command,
