Joe, no work was ever done to extend the time > 8hrs. This was
investigated, but it turns out to be a built-in "feature" of kerberos.
(You can get the kinit "ticket-granting-ticket" for up to 21 hours,
but the "real ticket" you get as of the first b* operation is only 8 hrs.)
Note that the ticket gets stashed for the duration of the b* command
now, so, unless the network has a hiccup, a 50 hour bsubmit can complete
with 1 ticket, but the very next b* operation will fail. This model
assumes only one b* operation is happening for the user on your workstation.

I thought they extended the kerberos ticket to be > 8 hours?
I'm getting it expired somewhere around 8 hours, and sometimes
I think its actually less. Do either of you have any idea
who I can talk to about this?
