Subj: Problems with kerberose initialization.
Hi,
I am from Digital India. Now, I am back in India (I was in NJ 2 months
ago) and have set-up the machines which came from UNX for OSF/1 maintenance
project.
I am able to (and am doing daily) sup pools successfully.
But when I try to get myself a kerberose ticket, I get an error
(reproduced below).
> kinit
MIT Project Athena (deil.bbi.dec.com)
Kerberos Initialization
Kerberos name: Purushottam_Sane
Password:
kinit: Time is out of bounds (krb_rd_req)
So, I changed the system time from Indian time to EST. and I can get a
ticket to myself.

Kerberos Initialization for "Purushottam_Sane"
Password:
> klist
Ticket file: /var/dss/kerberos/tkt/tkt12
Principal: Purushottam_Sane@ZONE
Issued Expires Principal

One thought... Timezone set up option does not let me select Indian Std.
Time (IST). So, I set up my clock as EST but with current time in India (ie-
+10.30 from EST). May be this could create the above problem. In that case, I
will have to select another timezone (I don't know which one). I see timezone for Egypt and Turkey but not for India (?????????) :-(
So, what is the way out???
Rgds
