Subj: re: lock file unavailable for bsubmit
Steve, you should PTT report this bug -- the ^C didn't get trapped for
the submit tree to remove its "lock_hold" or "lock_logs" lock directories.
Tell us what pool you were submitting to and we'll unlock it.
In the meantime, please run "gen-ptt" from your sandbox workon and complete
the profile, pick ode then pick bsubmit, then enter in the form the
abstract and description and mail. If your system doesn't send mail,
just send the ptt temp file in '.' to the To and Subj as in the file.
You may want to check with decwet::ode if your DECode tools are uptodate.
thanks... -josh

Hi There,
I hit control-C during a bsubmit. To my surprise, it doesn't seem to
catch sigint. Anyhow, it exited immediately. Now, when I try to
bsubmit, I get this error message:
Lock file is temporarily unavailable. Waiting.........
So far, it seems prepared to wait quite a while. I have removed the
file .BCSlock in my $SOURCEBASE directory more than once and retried,
but this doesn't expedite things.
What's the right thing to do here?
Thanks,
- --steve
