1020.0. "fwd: more on Incorrect network address (krb_rd_req)" by SMURF::FILTER (Automatic Posting Software - mail to flume::puck) Mon Oct 24 1994 15:44

DECwest "toastee",

I just reproduced this problem on wasted with debugging on; can
you please take a look to see if you notice anything? thanks...
(note that if you can log into abyss, you can also log into wasted
and your home directory should be mounted there too)

(attached is 1st Craig's mail, then the debug output)

Here's the pertinent error:
    783023871.692799: checking kerberos authentication
no authorization to access the server: Generic kerberos error (kfailure)
kxct: Kerberos error: Incorrect network address (krb_rd_req)

I've tried nslookup for rcs_host and submit_host on wasted - both are fine.
Also, "check_ode client" shows nothing out of the ordinary:
        Client/sandbox error count is 0

Subject: kxct: Kerberos error: Incorrect network address (krb_rd_req)

I'm trying to do a bco on wasted. Here's what happens:

(19)$ bco -u msb.c

[ ./kernel/io/dec/eisa/msb.c ]
no authorization to access the server: Generic kerberos error (kfailure)
kxct: Kerberos error: Ticket expired (krb_rd_req)

No longer using cached authorization
bco: The following rcs command failed:
authcover exists ./kernel/io/dec/eisa/msb.c,v
[ unable to access source control information in file: "./kernel/io/dec/eisa/msb.c,v" ]

(20)$ kinit
Kerberos Initialization
Kerberos name: Craig_Peterson
Password:

(21)$ r bc
bco -u msb.c

[ ./kernel/io/dec/eisa/msb.c ]
no authorization to access the server: Generic kerberos error (kfailure)
kxct: Kerberos error: Incorrect network address (krb_rd_req)

No longer using cached authorization
bco: The following rcs command failed:
authcover exists ./kernel/io/dec/eisa/msb.c,v
[ unable to access source control information in file: "./kernel/io/dec/eisa/msb.c,v" ]

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Craig.
