He wants to use header files which are not found in /usr/sde/headers. Is there a way to do this without adding them to /usr/sde/headers? Could the variable BCSHEADERS be modified to include an additional directory besides /usr/sde/headers? Date Of Receipt: 29-AUG-1994 14:08:12.15 From: FLAMBE::jmf "Joshua M. Friedman OSF/UNIX SDE" To: [email protected], [email protected] CC: Subj: Re: /usr/sde/header Rich, actually we don't use /usr/sde/header for osf/1, but you'll note that BCSHEADERS is set to /usr/sde/osf1/headers. This is configurable for each project (normally via the config/global.rc_files file), buth it's not a search path. You can copy the existing area to start a new one, however. For backward compatibility, when we went in v30 to the new "pragma ident" method of storing the rcsid strings, we setup the alternate v20.headers area for backward support, and put the override to the BCSHEADERS variable into 20's rc files. Hope that helps... -josh |
