Based on this input we can't tell if this is worth QARing or not.
We believe that no_merge works as advertised.
If you look carefully at the output, it appears that the user might have
typed (ahead?) an extra carriage return, as the no_merge response was
apparently read by the code expecting the merge action (co,rco) choice,
which would be consistent with a null response to the previous merge/no_merge
query.
I don't see the extra linespace between the bsubmit command line and
the "The following..." output in our test examples - is this an extra
CR introduced after the bsubmit command, then read as the default choice
to the first query?

Myles Connors

Hi,
Not sure if this is still the right alias to ask for ODE help ... looks like ODE
is offering a feature and then saying it's not there. Can someone help?
Thanks,
- -Sue

Sue,
I'm not sure these days how to report ode problems but...
As you can see ode says I can choose 'no_merge' as an option, but when
I did ode yelled at me;
- - -jim
ode said and I did
nm1w:src {109%%} bsubmit -defect goldminos-62-mchale $(<jset)
The following file(s) will require user interaction during the merge step:
./usr/ccs/bin/ld/dynutil.c
./usr/ccs/bin/ld/ext_tbl.c
./usr/ccs/bin/ld/pass1.c
./usr/ccs/bin/ld/pass2.c
Please make a choice from the following list of options:
merge - Submit all files at this time;
you will perform required merges now.
no_merge - Submit only files that do not require merging;
skip all other files.
exit - Exit bsubmit now, terminating the submission.
Your choice (merge, no_merge, exit): [merge] no_merge
Choose next merge action on ./usr/ccs/bin/ld/dynutil.c
Abort, ok, edit, merge, [r]co, [r]diff [rdiff] no_merge is unknown. Do you
want a list? [yes]
