I am trying to submit a file that i checked in on Monday and I'm getting the following error: $ bsubmit -defect goldos-3557-chs aha1740.c Please take appropriate steps and run bsubmit again. - No work has been done for this submission. - No files have been changed in any way. - The files in this submission are not held. - The use of the -resub option is not required and will not be recognized. $ blog -i -all [ ./kernel/io/cam/aha1740.c ] ./kernel/io/cam/aha1740.c,v Carol_Sheridan: 1.1; Carol_Sheridan: 1.1.35.1; Rob; blog: The following rcs command failed: authcover rlog -l -r1.1.36.1 ./kernel/io/cam/aha1740.c,v I have no idea why this is happening, although from the blog command it looks like something has failed. The revision that I checked in but have not submitted yet is Rev. 1.1.36.2. I am offsite today at a course at SHR so please send me mail as soon as possible since today is codefreeze. Carol, there are some disk problems which are being looked at on buffer, which has caused some added delays. This file had some things which appeared to be in an intermittent state - it looks like maybe you did a bco at one point and ^C'd when it may have appeared to have been hung. This ^C should have but didn't fully cleanup after itself (a reported bug), and the next bco left some things broken. I'd suggest you copy the file aside before you submit, and compare with the one that (eventually) gets into the submit tree. Try just doing the submit again now. Also, do you know you have another version of this out in another sandbox (gold_nightly sandbox)? Note also that the rcs "master" version of this file is nearly 3Meg in size, so all operations with it will take a long time. Be patient. If you want, in another window, you can do "ps"s and grep for the file name; you should see "authcover ...." commands running on this file and you'll see progress here. -josh | |||||
