An entry for v13bsupportx.nightly needs to be added to /usr/sde/build_list. A couple of months ago, I had some problems and you added v12supportx.nightly and v20supportx.nightly to build_list, but evidently not v13bsupportx.nightly because we have now run into the same problem with it. I've attached the original mail below FYI. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, John F. Return-Path: franzini To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected], [email protected], franzini Subject: Problem resolving backing tree names Date: Fri, 06 May 94 13:55:55 -0400 From: "John Franzini" <franzini> X-Mts: smtp Hello. When I try to create a sandbox backed against any of the following trees: v12supportx.nightly v13bsupportx.nightly v20supportx.nightly when I don't have a default sandbox, I get the following error: >> WARNING in mksb: >> v12supportx.nightly is not a legal, accessible sandbox. >> Will prompt for this information. No known current builds to pick from. Enter absolute path to backing tree or name from build list: I suspect the problem is that /usr/sde/build_list does not contain entries for the above trees. It does contain entries for v12supportos, v12supportos.nightly, v12supportx, etc. and I can create sandboxes backed against those trees. The problem doesn't show up if I have a default sandbox. Evidently, mksb reads the default sandbox's rc_files/shared file which in turn includes ../link/rc_files/shared and that defines: build_base /usr/sde/osf1/build Apparently, this overrides /usr/sde/build_list. If my conjectures are correct, could you add the trees listed above to /usr/sde/build_list? Thank you, John F.
