Hi,

I'm having some troubles getting a kerberos ticket from my workstation
The failure looks like this:

% kinit $PRINCIPAL
Kerberos Initialization for "Peter_S_Thompson"
kinit: Retry count exceeded (send_to_kdc)
% klist
Ticket file: /var/dss/kerberos/tkt/tkt3113
klist: No ticket file (tf_util)
%

I have updated my /etc/krb.conf file so it looks like:

% cat /etc/krb.conf
ZONE
ZONE alphabits.aosg.gsf.dec.com
ZONE merge.zk3.dec.com
ZONE abyss.zk3.dec.com
ZONE alpha.aosg.gsf.dec.com
ZONE lastin.zk3.dec.com
ZONE decipher.zk3.dec.com
ZONE kerberos.zk3.dec.com admin dummy
%

Also, I am able to get a ticket from wasted, but it doesn't show up on my
workstation.....

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-Pete

Well for starters aosg domain is LONG dead, so your first entry
alphabits.aosg.gsf.dec.com is going to have a real hard time
connecting. Try using this instead:

ZONE
ZONE yield.zk3.dec.com
ZONE kerberos1.zk3.dec.com
ZONE kerberos2.zk3.dec.com
ZONE kerberos.zk3.dec.com admin dummy

This depends on your running yp or having the latest hostfile
See if you can do an nslookup of kerberos1 or kerberos2.
