679.0. "what happens when your backing tree changes" by SMURF::FILTER (Automatic Posting Software - mail to flume::puck) Mon Apr 04 1994 17:37

It is my experence with the gold bl9 tree that when it was updated with
bl9 pass 2 kernel .h files that were modified in pass 2 were not copied
into the obj tree with 'build kernel/include/all'. This means that I
cannot update between passes without a 4 hour recompile or selectivly
deleting updated .h files (the job build should have done for me).

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Alan

Are you refering to the master copy of the tree on xor in zk3, or a
supped copy in zso? If it's the latter, your site does not sup the obj
collection for this tree, so unless you build this locally you won't have
it in any case. That collection is called goldos.bl9_obj.

Please contact Brian Stevens or Jin Chen about kernel dependencies.
