Hi,

I'm having some troubles with kerberos. The bstat and kinit commands
both don't seem to work for me. Could you please take a look at this and let
me know if I'm doing something wrong??

Thansk,
Pete

% bstat -all

[ ./kernel/arch/alpha/alpha_init.c ]
no authorization to access the server: Generic kerberos error (kfailure)
kxct: Kerberos error: Time is out of bounds (krb_rd_req)

No longer using cached authorization
[ There is no branch revison for set Peter_S_Thompson_pv. ]
% kinit $PRINCIPAL

Two things for sure. The first is that your system clock is out of sync with
the server. You probably are not running xntp to keep it in sync. Try running:
/usr/sde/install/ode install
which will set all that up for you.

You have a branch for that file with that set name -> 1.2.53
but you have no lock nor does this look like a private branch. Check the .BCS*
files in the src dir of your sandbox and see if you can find an entry for this
file.
Other wise I'd say get a ticket and checkit out again.

I keep getting this when I try to submit to the atm pool on abyss:
1.277 marvin: ftw> bsubmit -auto -all
no authorization to access the server: Generic kerberos error (kfailure)
kxct: Kerberos error: Incorrect network address (krb_rd_req)

No longer using cached authorization
>> FATAL ERROR in /usr/sde/tools/alpha_osf1/bin/ode/bsubmit:
>> rlog command failed

Please take appropriate steps and run bsubmit again.
- No work has been done for this submission.
- No files have been changed in any way.
- The files in this submission are not held.
- The use of the -resub option is not required and will not be recognized.

This kind of thing has come up before: I have two network interfaces in this
system. One on green-net (marvin) and one on red-net (pyrite). A while ago
I had changed my krb.conf file to use ravine first, since that's not on either
subnet. This worked for a while when I was submitting things to gold but
it doesn't seem to work here. I changed the krb.conf file to use abyss
first but this makes no difference.

I really do need to use bother interfaces, so asking that I turn one of them
off will not be an acceptable answer.

Thanks,
