Subj: Question on source control

Hi,

I want to install an ode environment for developing i18n OSF/1.
I want to know if it is possible to use a single RCS tree for
source control of two releases, says V2.0 and V3.0. And how
to configure the source control environment?

Thanks in advance,

Alan Tam

Yes, that's normally the way RCS is used under ODE. One source tree,
many different branches.

As to how to configure it, I'll have to leave that to the experts like
Josh and Tina. Or Steve Beikman, if you're really asking configuration
questions like "how do I get a disk big enough to hold everything".

Alan, sounds like you need general ODE Administrative documentation
and training. Please contact Tina Anderson, decwet::anderson, the
project leader for DEC ODE II. FYI, decwet::ode sends mail to that
whole development group. Both Tina and the ode group are part of the
odehelp alias, and so they should have received all this mail and
may just get back to you.

You might want to send specific mail to decwet::ode and/or Tina
to outline exactly what you're looking to do.
